R. Todd Harris is a partner with McDonald Fleming Moorhead, and has been with the firm since 2003. He served as the firm’s managing partner from 2010 to 2012.
Todd received the AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2011, the highest rating possible for legal services and ethical standards given by his peers and judges. In 2012, he was appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to be a commissioner on the first Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission where he worked with fellow commissioner to provide the Governor with nominees to fill judicial vacancies. He was elected Chairman of the Commission in 2015, and served in that position through the end of his term in 2017. Todd’s civil litigation practice focuses primarily in the area of commercial litigation, construction litigation, creditor’s rights, and employment litigation. He also maintains an active practice representing clients in a variety of administrative issues before local government boards, including land use and zoning issues.
Todd is a 25 year resident of Pensacola where he currently resides with his wife and two children. Todd enjoys spending time with his family, running, and supporting his alma mater, the University of West Florida.
