William
J. Green
William J. Green is an of counsel partner of
the firm McDonald Fleming Moorhead.
He graduated magna cum laude from the University of
West Florida and received his Juris Doctorate from
Stetson University College of Law. After practicing
law in Pensacola for ten years, he served as an
Escambia County Judge and was the administrative
county judge for ten years.
During his tenure on the bench, Bill served on
numerous committees for the Conference of County
Court Judges, as well as the Florida Supreme Court's
Technology Committee and its standing Committee on
Alternative Dispute Resolution. He also served as a
member of Florida's Mediator Qualification Board.
Among his many community service activities, Bill
has served as pro bono counsel for the Warrington
Emergency Aid Center and on the Board of the
Escambia County Clean Community Commission. He has
taught law related classes as an adjunct instructor
at Pensacola Junior College and the University of
West Florida and has lectured as a faculty member of
the National Center for State Courts and the State
Court's College of Advanced Judicial Studies.
After leaving the bench in 1999, Bill resumed the
practice of law, primarily in the field of
commercial law, including commercial litigation and
appeals.
